Books I Read in 2016

December 28, 2016

Wrapping up another year of reading.
picmonkey-collage

Today I’m combining two of my favorite things: reading, and list making. This is my compilation of most of the books I read this past year, not counting what I read for my editing business. As you can see, I like variety.
Most people read for more than one purpose. I choose books as research for my own writing, to review, or for book club. Now and then, I even get to pick up a book just because it looks good.
  1. THE GREAT GATSBY by F. Scott Fitzgerald
  2. ONE PLUS ONE EQUALS TROUBLE by Sondra Kraas
  3. THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL by Baroness Orczy
  4. THE LAST APOSTLE by Dennis Brooke
  5. SABOTAGED by Dani Pettrey
  6. TIDEWATER INN by Colleen Coble
  7. FOR RICHER OR POORER by Kari Trumbo

  23. THE VEGAS DIARIES by Holly Madison
  24. HOTEL ON THE CORNER OF BITTER AND SWEET by Jamie Ford

Wow what a list! It gave me some new books for 2017 reading. I will compile my list on my way home from vacation. I read a lot of nonfiction. It will be fun to make the list.

Share with me how you put all of the book covers into one photo. There are so many options out there.

    Happy New Year Lesley! Gigi

I’d love to see your list, Gigi. I left off a few of the non-fiction books I read this past year, but I generally have one or two in my ongoing-reading stack.

For the collage, I used PicMonkey. I wanted to make one that included all the covers, but this was the best I could do. I could do a second image with the other ones just for fun. Maybe I’ll do that next year.

Thank you. I read every evening before I go to sleep. Usually an hour or more.

Wow you all keep track? I have no idea which books or how many I read this year, but I have a feeling my list would be much smaller than Sylvia’s! Wow! Thanks for including my books in your limited reading time this year!

I used to keep track, so I’m restarting my old tradition. I read so much that I forget authors and titles if I don’t write them down. Plus it’s fun to look back on and remember which ones you like.

If you keep up with all the Love Inspired books, that’s a long list right there. I’ll look forward to seeing your list at the end of 2017, Brenda.

Over one hundred? Wow. Debi, do you read mostly fiction or non-fiction?

Boy, I thought I was doing pretty well. Now I’m feeling like a real slouch. I’d better bump it up next year. How do people find the time to read so much?

On the other hand, I didn’t count my editing work, so I suppose that uses up some of my reading brain power. Plus that’s enjoyable even though it’s work. I’m blessed with some talented editing clients.
