Whole30 Day 17: You’re the Cream in my Coffee…

March 10, 2016

….actually, make that “homemade almond milk.”

As much as I’ve been enjoying (yes, actually enjoying) drinking my coffee black while on the Whole30 program, it’s nice to have options. My daughters both gave up on the black stuff, and we’ve searched the whole wide world—or at least the stores in our area—for an milk substitute.  Finding that every brand of almond and coconut milk contains something on the ‘Whole30-no!’ list, my younger daughter decided to try her hand at homemade almond milk.

The verdict is in, and this milk is guilty of being delicious.

It’s even easy to make. Here’s the recipe from Stupid Easy Paleo  if you’d like to try it yourself:

And now, I’m going to enjoy my afternoon latte, something I haven’t been able to say for the past seventeen days. Cheers!
